ការបង្កាត់សិម្បនិមិត្ម ឬ ការបែបធម្មតាជាតិ គឺទាមទាអោយមានការស្វែងយល់ពីដំណើររដូវ (Estrus) របស់សត្វទៅតាមប្រភេទនីមួយៗអោយបានច្បាស់ ដើម្បីអោយការបង្កាត់ទទួលបានជោគជ័យ ហើយវាផ្តល់ទិន្នផលល្អសម្រាប់អ្នកចិញ្ចឹមជ្រូកមេយកកូនលក់។ សត្វជ្រូក ជាសត្វមួយប្រភេទដែលមានវដ្តរដូវ ជាពហុវដ្តរដូវ (Polyestrous) កើតឡើងយ៉ាងទៀងទាត់រៀងរាល់ ២១ ថ្ងៃម្តង ហើយកើតពេញមួយឆ្នាំ។ នៅក្នុងមួយវដ្តរដូវរបស់សត្វជ្រូកមាន ៥ វគ្គដូចជា Proestrus Estrus Ovulation Metestrus និង Diestrus។ ក្រពេញអង់ដូគ្រីនចំនួន ៣ ដែលចួលរួមក្នុងវដ្តរដូវ (Estrous cycle) មានដូចជា អូវែ (ovaries ) ហៃប៉ូទីឡាម៉ាត (hypothalamus ) នឹងក្រពេញ anterior pituitary ផ្នែកខាងមុខ។ អម៉ូន ២ សំខាន់ៗចូលរួមក្នុងដំណើររដូវ (Estrus) គឺ FSH (Follicle stimulating hormone) និង LH (Luteinizing hormone)។ ជ្រូកមេ (Sow) ផើមរយះពេល ៣ខែ ៣សប្តាហ៍ ៣ថ្ងៃ ស្មើនឹង១១៤ថ្ងៃ។
